Programs and Services Offered

Individual counseling, couples counseling, family therapy, play therapy for young children, anger management classes for adults and adolescents, substance abuse counseling, assessments, and education, domestic violence prevention groups for adolescent boys, divorcing parent education classes for adults and their children, and various therapy groups based on need and interest. OCC also operates a telephone information and referral service on substance abuse treatment.

Special Programs

Play Therapy
Play Therapy is designed to help children through the use of nonverbal techniques such as therapeutic toys, sand play, games, art and drama. Using these techniques, the therapist can assist the child in expressing emotions from trauma and learning appropriate coping skills.

Anger Management
Anger Management is a four session program designed to help individuals understand anger, identify the feelings behind anger and how to react appropriately to those feelings.

FOCIS
FOCIS stands for Focus on Children In Separation and is a divorcing parent education program. Its purpose is to provide divorcing parents and their children with information to help them in dealing with both practical and emotional issues involved in separation and divorce. FOCIS is approved by the Greene County Family Court.

Information and Referral on Substance Abuse
A resource center for immediate response to substance abuse problems. In addition, the program provides a neutral service for substance abuse assessment, referral, and recovery support. Call direct: 417-865-5200

EAP
Employee Assistance Programs for counseling services are available. For more information about these services please contact us.

IN-HOME COUNSELING
Ozarks Counseling Center now offers in-home counseling services, primarily for children and families covered by Medicaid. For information please call 869-9011.
